No idea how old this place is and maybe they are nice and friendly people, but "I don't care what you say, this is how we do things here and how it's been" was my impression which I like, and it reminds me of college time. There was a hanba-gu place near by the Ueno station which had the same attitude and same teppanyaki smell, it was always packed with student. I would never go that oily-floor basement restaurant now, but somehow that was the thing to do back then.

I feel like I can make better ones at home, but it's good for a quick bite if you are in the area. Don't forget the side order of bonito flakes and seaweed powder.
